QUICK LINKS

WELCOME LETTER:DeaP6030194.JPGr Science Student,
I would like to introduce myself and share some information about what you can expect from this class. It is my hope that you will find this information helpful and that you will experience a successful and enjoyable year in my class!
I would like you to call me Ms. Young; I am from Toronto, Canada and I am Chinese. I love to work with young people, and am very excited to be your Science teacher this year. I am hoping to learn a lot from you, just as I know you will learn a lot from me. I think the natural world and science is a fascinating topic to study, and I love the outdoors. I like to camp and go hiking, and I have spent many of my summer vacations living in a tent and planting trees in western Canada. I love to try new things (like food!)and to meet new people; I am excited to travel within Colombia to see the different regions of this beautiful country, as well want to travel to other destinations in South America. I would also like to learn and improve my Spanish.
You can expect that I will do my best to help you be successful, and I believe that each of you can achieve your goals for Science class. We will talk about what you can expect to study this year, and how you will earn grades in my class. You will learn the procedures and rules for the class, and also how to access the wiki, which will be helpful if you have questions, or are absent.
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns about Science or otherwise, by communicating through email or setting up a time to meet. If you have any feedback for the class, please let me know in writing, by using the suggestion notebook I have setup near the classroom doors.
I look forward to working with you this year!
Ms. Young
